Our Origin Story

The AskMoe app is the manifestation of founders Craig A Meyer and Gary Arbuthnot: two arts aficionados in their own right, driven by their desire to create a healthier financial ecosystem for artists.

Craig has toured internationally, recorded, and performed alongside Barry Manilow and Frankie Valli, and is often mistaken for Sir Elton John with his tribute show Remember When Rock Was Young -The Elton John Tribute. In addition to Performing Art Centers, Casinos, and Cruise Ships, the concert regularly performs with Symphonies across the US. He's also made waves on Broadway (Meet Me In St Louis, Cats, Irving Berlin's White Christmas), guest starred in television (Will & Grace, Necessary Roughness) and films (Identity Thief, Leatherheads, Aladdin, The Lion King). When not in the spotlight, he's behind the desk as founder/owner of Meyer Entertainment Group, producing concert tours globally.

Gary has performed as principal flute for the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, the Opera de Lyon, France, and the Sao Paulo State Symphony Orchestra, Brazil. His solo shows Irish Party in 3rd Class and Stage and Screen have been seen by over a million people across the globe since 2002, and he was voted Entertainer of the Year by the World's Leading Cruise Line, Crystal Cruises. Along the way, Gary has also garnered recognition for his work including prizes at multiple international flute and music competitions, and awards for his albums, Asturias, Celtic Connections and Home for Christmas. Somehow he also manages to find time to run his company Michael Henry Productions, which manages and promotes top tier cruise line entertainers in partnership with Blackburn International Entertainment Agency.

Our Plan

After a heartfelt brainstorm, AskMoe’s founders hatched a plan for a tool that was the “type of tour manager you knew you needed but didn’t know how to ask for”. Starting with features that are most urgently useful to musicians of every level, we aim to grow AskMoe into a centralized ecosystem that aids artists in all things business: from costs to contracts, chord charts to collaborations. Join us as we bring prosperity and joy back into the music industry.
